Field trip to Salt Point/Moon Rock State park on the sonoma coast on Feb. 21st to the 22nd.  
-Tan Oak
*fuzzy underside of leaf
*evergreens (green throughout the year)
*acorns are not in scale cup, but in spiny cup which makes them not true Quercus
*tanic acid used by native americans to tan animal skin to leather
-Lichen 
(freddy)-fungus *provides home
(alice)-algae *provides food
*an indicator species for air polution
-Fructicose *old mans beard
-Folios *leafy *crustous (flat)
We saw these critters
-potatoe bug *isopod
-ground cricket *spines on legs *nocternal
-worm salamandor *amphibian *uses diffusion in order to breath. has no lungs because of its size. has grooves to aid diff. *newts don't have grooves.
Amphibians take in H20 via: buccles suctions which circulates air through lung sacs. through skin. and also they're lung (thought not very good)

-Witches butter *gooey, oozey yellow puss
